About Rao’s Academy

Rao’s Academy for Competitive Exams (A unit of RACE) established in April 2022 to primarily focus on preparing UPSC & MPPSC aspirants to face the exceedingly challenging exam and emerge successfully. The courses aim at offering comprehensive and in-depth value – additions to tackling the Prelims, Mains as well as the Interview.

About DR. M. Mohan Rao

Dr. Mohan Rao, allotted to Madhya Pradesh cadre in 1987 has completed a highly successful and inspiring journey as an IAS officer.

After serving for 5 years in Raipur district, he went on to serve as Collector of Seoni and Dewas districts, General Manager, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, NHDC, Commissioner of Food and Civil Supplies, Social Justice, Sericulture, SC and ST Welfare, Sports and Youth Affairs, Panchayat and Principal Secretary to the Hon. Governor of MP. He retired as Addl. Chief Secretary in the state.

Achievements

In addition to various initiatives for the upliftment of the marginalised sections of society, as Collector of Dewas he pioneered the Water Conservation program. In addition to developing various water conservation structures, he successfully created the Dewas Model of Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting Filters. He transformed this initiative into a mass movement and succeeded in increasing the ground water level significantly.

Prime Minister’s Award for developing E-Portal Samagra, bringing all welfare schemes under one umbrella.

About Ms. M. Aruna Mohan Rao

An IPS Officer of 1987 batch, she is a well known police officer in the state of Madhya Pradesh. She has earned a name for herself with her dedication, strictness, hard work, sensitivity and empathy.

After a successful stint as ASP and Addl SP of Raipur district, she served as Superintendent of Police in Narsingpur district for almost three years. She also rendered valuable service as SP of Raise district, SP Rail Indore, DIG of Fire Services, DIG of Hoshangabad Range, IG Lokayukt, Inspector General of Rail and AJK. On promotion as Addl DG, she was the architect of a newly created branch of Crime Against Women. She set up a robust system both at the Headquarters as well as at the district level. Extensive awareness efforts, outreach programs helped to create a positive environment for women, girls and children across the state. Concerted efforts led to a large number of convictions especially of death sentences.

About M. Tanmay Rao
