38th CISO Deep Dive Training Programme

National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under its Capacity Building scheme, organised the 38th batch of CISO Deep-Dive training programme.
  • The purpose of the program is to enable Government departments on steps that need to be taken to create a cyber resilient eco system.
  • To build capacity of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and frontline IT officials, Cyber Surakshit Bharat initiative of MeitY has also been conceptualised.
  • The deep-dive training specifically aims at educating and enabling CISOs to understand cyber-attacks and get necessary exposure to the latest technologies for safeguarding e-infrastructure.

  • It was launched in 2018 by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
  • The main objective of this initiative is to spread awareness about cyber security and best practices.
About NeGD
  • National e-Governance Division was created by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology in 2009.
  • It was created as an Independent Business Division under the Digital India Corporation {erstwhile Media Lab Asia}.
  • Since 2009, NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of the e-Governance Projects.
  • It also provides technical and advisory support to Ministries/ Departments, both at Central and State levels.
  • NeGD has developed and is managing several National Public Digital Platforms such as:
    • DigiLocker,
    • UMANG,
    • OpenForge,
    • API Setu, Poshan Tracker,
    • National Academic Depositories,
    • India Stack Global, among other things.
